Requirements

Please note that due to the statutory regulations that apply to Gas Installers, special requirements are necessary for this group. Gas installers, engineers and fitters covered by the CORGI registration requirements must submit their individual (not company) CORGI ID number on the application form.

A White UK-PHMES CSCS Card is issued to those working in Plumbing Related Occupations (e.g. gas fitting, sheet weathering, medical gas specialists) who pass the JIB-PMES Health and Safety test or CITB Operative Test.

UK-PHMES CSCS Cards issued on this basis are valid for five years, and may be renewed after that period (subject to renewal rules).

This route of entry is permanently open.

To obtain a White Plumbing Related Occupations UK-PHMES CSCS Card GAS, applicants must:

• Submit a correctly completed application form sections 1,2,3,4 & 13A plus appropriate fee: See fees.
• Complete the JIB-PMES Health & Safety Test or CITB Health & Safety Test: See Safety Test Notes.
• Provide a detailed description of the type of work the applicant undertakes together with confirmation from an employer validating experience in this field.
• For GAS applicants a valid, non-expired, individual CORGI ID number.
