Requirements

A Blue UK-PHMES CSCS Card is issued to those who have achieved any of the following NVQ/SVQ qualifications or an equivalent (i.e. City and Guilds Craft Certificate).

• City & Guilds Level 2 NVQ in Mechanical Engineering Services - Heating and Ventilation Installation (Domestic or Industrial/Commercial)
• City & Guilds Level 2 NVQ in Mechanical Engineering Services - Heating and Ventilating Maintenance of Systems Components (Domestic or Industrial/Commercial)

UK-PHMES CSCS Cards issued on this basis are valid for five years, and may be renewed after that period (subject to renewal rules).

This route of entry is permanently open.

To obtain a Heating Fitter UK-PHMES CSCS Card (Blue), applicants must submit:

• A correctly completed application form sections 1,2,3,4 & 7 plus appropriate fee: See fees.
• A copy of the NVQ/SVQ completion certificate or City & Guild Craft Certificate
• JIB Health and Safety test Pass Certificate if required, or hold an exemption: See Safety Test Notes.
• Evidence of working within the Plumbing and Mechanical services industry - contact details of an appropriate industry referee must be included on the application form.
