Requirements

A Gold UK-PHMES CSCS Card is issued to those who have achieved any of the following NVQ/SVQ qualifications, or equivalent City & Guild Advanced Craft Certificate.

• City & Guilds 6012 Level 3 NVQ in Domestic Natural Gas Installation and Maintenance
• City & Guilds 6034 Level 3 NVQ in Domestic Natural Gas Installation and Maintenance
• City & Guilds 6006 Level 3 NVQ in Gas Installation and Maintenance
• City & Guilds 6016 Level 3 NVQ in Gas Installation and Maintenance

UK-PHMES CSCS Cards issued on this basis are valid for five years, and may be renewed after that period (subject to renewal rules).

This route of entry is permanently open.

To obtain a Gas Engineer UK-PHMES CSCS Card (Gold), applicants must submit:

• A correctly completed application form sections 1,2,3,4 & 12 plus appropriate fee: See fees.
• a copy of the NVQ/SVQ completion certificate.
• confirmation of current CORGI/Gas Safe Registration
• JIB Health and Safety test Pass Certificate if required, or hold an exemption: See Safety Test Notes.
• Evidence of working within the Plumbing and Mechanical services industry - contact details of an appropriate industry referee must be included on the application form.
