The Joint Industry Board for Plumbing and Mechanical Engineering Services is the registration body for the Plumbing Industry in England and Wales. It is affiliated to the CSCS registration schemes.The JIB-PMES comprises the APHC and Construction Confederation, representing plumbing employers and the Amicus trade union representing employees.

The JIB-PMES is owned and administered by employer (APHC and Construction Confederation) and operative (Amicus) representatives.

The JIB-PMES has three main functions:

•	The administration of holiday credit/benefit schemes for participant employers and operatives. The setting of terms and conditions of employment of operatives working for participant employers.
•	Part of the awarding body for plumbing qualifications (with City and Guilds and APHC).
•	An affiliate of the CSCS registration scheme, registering and providing cards to operatives employed in plumbing and mechanical engineering services and related sectors.
